Field in Pink and Coral

This is another painting that I did of a field of flowers on a spring or summer day and I used those beautiful Terry Ludwig Vibrants to achieve the corals and pinks. There’s something about the winter time that makes me want to paint spring and summer while other artists are painting winter scenes. Looking at this picture with fresh eyes I see that I should have painted the middle ground shrubbery with lighter values to make it look further away and perhaps I’ll still scumble a violet over the greens to do the same thing. Overall I’m fairly happy with this painting and there is something inviting about the warm pinks and corals.
